My grammy.
I come from a family of very strong women. My grandmother is the epitome of that. When she graduated high school in the 1940s as the valedictorian of her class, she took a job as a bookkeeper. She was very good at her job and when her boss realized that she finished her work really fast, he asked her to come in the next day in clothes that would be more appropriate for scrubbing the toilet.
Well, she was having none of that. She told him in no uncertain terms that she was hired as a bookkeeper and not a cleaning lady and quit. After that she got a job as a waitress and she excelled in that career until she retired in her 70's.
