When did you first realize that you were _a grown up _? Was it a positive or negative experience?

I usually don't realize that I've aged - I'm still the same old me, but occasionally I'll see some young'uns and realize that I have absolutely nothing in common with them and that's when it hits me that I'm turning into an old lady. I also feel old when
- I don't recognize any of the music on the radio and it all sounds like noise.
- I listen to NPR and books on CD during my commute
- I see yet another grey hair
- I start to notice the teeniest lines growing in
- I can't keep weight off like I used to
- I realize my 31st birthday is coming up. That's much worse than 30. Then I start thinking about in 9 years I'll be 40! What have I done with my life?
But most of the time I'm just me. I'm the same person I was when I was "young" but with a number of upgrades - maturity, experience, and an improved sense of self.
Yeah, I'll take the 30's over my 20's any day. Them were scary (but wild) times.
