Where will you be eating Thanksgiving Dinner this year?
Jimbo and I will be heading to my parent's house in the late morning, and then we're heading down to his aunt's house for the eating of the turkey.
Ingredients
- 1 package chocolate cake mix (I like devil's food cake and follow the low-fat recipe with no-sugar-added apple sauce)
- 1 cup no-sugar-added apple sauce (amount depends on cake mix instructions)
- 2 packages instant chocolate pudding mix (I use fat free, sugar free with skim milk)
- 4 cups of milk (for pudding)
- 2 big containers frozen whipped topping (cool whip), thawed
- Optional: health bar/scor bar bits or chocolate chips or just about any kind of chopped up treat.
Directions
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions and cool completely. Cut into 1 inch squares.
- Prepare pudding mix.
- In a trifle bowl or glass serving dish, place a layer of cake, then a layer of pudding, then a sprinkle of health bar/ chocolate chips (optional) followed by a layer of cool whip. Repeat layers until you reach the top of the bowl or run out of ingredients. Garnish the top with health bar/chocolate chips if you wish.
Still deciding on a wedding vendor. But here is what I'm thinking...
My bouquet.
Bridesmaids' bouquets
(without the stephanotis and green thingies. to have the same greenery as my bouquet)

Or maybe daisies with yellow roses (no gerber or baby's breath or those other white flowers)
Centerpieces...
Something like this with white, pink or yellow roses with daisies

Originally wanted something like this. Still up in the air about it.
Church:
Mom is going to make some of these (with white ribbon) to hang from the church pews.
Show us the person you want to be like in life.

G'on girl!
What's your morning beverage of choice? Coffee, tea, juice? Homemade or store-bought?
First, water
Then some kind of flavored mocha
or maybe some tea
or cocoa if i'm being bad
So Jimbo and I got engaged this weekend!
I know!! Eeeeeee! So excited!
We took a walk on the boulevard on Sunday morning, where we had our very first date. It was very sweet and romantic. We sat on a bench and he said a few of same things he said on our first date, then said, "I'm going to have to propose to you, now. Megan, will you marry me?"
Of course I said yes and kissed him and made him put the ring on my finger ;)
It's gorgeous!
It took a long, long time for it to sink in. It still hasn't really.
We spent the day in Boston. Brunch at Sonsie (Our waiter was the first person we told!) and after two glasses of champagne I was ready to tell the world. We called our parents (mine already knew because Jimbo asked them permission on Saturday!) and some of our closest friends and family.
Then we went on a duck tour, walked around the city and had a really nice dinner at Excelsior.
At the end of our meal the waitress said, "Mr. Capone, then looked over at me and said, the future Mrs. Capone." And that's when it hit me. We're getting married!
What are 5 things you'd like to accomplish in the next 5 years?
I'm feeling really crabby right now so I'm going to have some fun with this:
- Tie Jimbo down and shackle him for life
- Quit my job and blog for money
- Remove wallpaper and pain every room in the house, strip the kitchen cabinets and front door and stain/paint, remove the shower doors, re-do my closet, plant the rose bush.
- Travel abroad
- buy a yellow hat.
